My daughter is a 20 year old college student and would like her step-father to legally adopt her and she would like to change her last name. He has been her step-father since the age of 4 and this is her decision.
Do we need a lawyer to do this or is this something we can do ourselves? Does her biological father need to approve ? She would like to do this ASAP before graduating from college and entering the military.
