My question involves criminal law for the state of: california my boyfriend is in prison he owes 12000 in restitution if we get married can they take my taxes or garnish my wages for a crime he committed prior to marriage I have kids there not his im worried if we do get married they can seize my income I live in California and he is in a prison in California im really worried on that note
