My question involves civil rights in the State of: California
Hi,
I'm 26 years old. I got a concussion and whiplash in 2013. I have been so disabled by my injuries that I couldn't look at a computer screen for almost three years. I lost my vision completely for over 6 months, was bedridden because of severe migraines, and have severe noise sensitivity that worsens with painful noise exposure. During this time, my parents have not provided a quiet environment for me to heal in and I've been getting worse. They have also kicked me out of their house four times because they don't want to support me. I recently became aware of this law: http://ift.tt/2r0X2Ap
Currently, my parents feel it's okay to make noise I find very painful at home throughout the day. And I'm getting significantly worse. I need soundproofing at this point because my noise tolerance has been deteriorating under their care. I can no longer handle everyday sounds. Do I have a potential case against them? Does this mean my parents have to support me and provide a quiet place for me to heal in?
