My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Missouri is the towing company allowed to keep your personal belongings until you pay the bill. I was in an accident and was on my way back to get the vehicle myself and tow company along with the police had already had it on the towing truck. The towing guy said I could come get my things the following day so when I went there to get them they told me they couldn't release anything until the bill was paid. So any suggestions?
