My question involves real estate located in the State of: California
Client has a piece of land that he's been paying property taxes on for decades. Recent
research shows an apparent encroachment on said property. Judging from the photos
the two properties (yellow star and red star) are using the client's property. It appears
that the SFR (Yellow Star - 707 on plot map) is using his property as an extension to
his backyard and it appears the MFR (Red Star - 720 on plot map) has been a block wall
on his property (see photos).
What are the next steps here? Is it best to pursue this through
amicable means to start? Is it wise to get an attorney involved at this point?
Necessary to get a survey? If the photos I'm looking at are accurate the
encroachment seems definite.
