My question involves independent contractors in the state of: ca..
The client I work for let's call him "Joe John" (owner #3) received an IWO with me named in it.. However, this order was addressed to the previous owner of the property lets call him "Paul Previous"(owner #1). Joe bought the business that Paul once owned. Paul has since passed away, and Joe acquired said business from Paul's successor (owner #2 ).
Businesses name and address are the same.
Only difference of the business from then to now is the change of ownership. When Joe receives an IWO for me addressed to Paul, does he have to honor it, much less respond?
Thanks,
Had
