I'm not a US citizen, but have a green card and was wondering if I could sue my dad for being a sociopath. To be more specific, I recently found out that he has been living double lives- has a mistress as well as children with the mistress but is still married to my mom. He 'left' our house due to work-related stress because he needed 'personal space', but now he is a completely different person and says he is never returning because he is so happy with his new life. He is a well known public figure so obviously his mistress is a gold digger. He has verbally abused my siblings and I for a few years now and it is getting worse and worse and is threatening to financially cut us out. He also doesn't let us attend family events. I recently moved outside of the U.S. and people can basically control the law with money here so I was wondering if there was a way I could sue him in the U.S. since this has been going on since I had been living there.
