My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
My girlfriend found out when her school did a background check that someone with her name had a misdemeanor but it was recorded with my girl friends social making it seem like her. Now the school is trying to dismiss her even though she is gathering as much proof as she can get that it was not in fact her. What is the best way to clear her name. And can we legally fight the school from wrongfully dismissing her?
