My question involves personal finance in the State of: Pennsylvania Long story short: Another family member is on my elderly parents' bank account at a small town bank. That person is refusing to speak to my mother. I was on the phone with my mother when she tried to get online access to her account, as she now needs to take over more financial responsibilities. Bank employee promised she would get pertinent information to my mother, which she never did. She also called the family member (we told them that person was not speaking to my mother) and told them about the conversation and made disparaging remarks about my mother and me, which the family member put in writing and sent to my mother. The employee never notified any manager, etc., IF they thought there was wrongdoing, which there clearly wasn't. We were told this was illegal by one bank employee, but since then the bank has nothing but rude to my mother and me, and refuses to answer any questions as to what was done about this. My mother, clearly, did not authorize the bank employee to speak with the family member, nor did I. What should we do? If we should get an attorney, which specific field?
