My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Michigan
My apologies if this should have been posted under traffic.
On 6/10/2016 I was exiting the highway on my way home from a late meeting on a Friday :grumpy:
There is a really poorly designed/laid out intersection that is on an exit ramp while exiting into Main Street in Ann Arbor, MI. There was construction going on so the intersection was experiencing extremely high use. A driver pulled out in front of me, I swerved around them, they blasted the side of my car, air bags went off, etc.
The other driver was ticketed.
My car 2013 BMW 135i with 34k miles, has now been in the shop since 6/15/2016. Initially the damage was estimated at 9K. They are at 16K currently, and chasing down a drive train vibration - grand total????? 18 ish?? The car's blue book value was 25k+, market value is probably more like 27-28 k.
Can I file a diminished value claim in the state of michigan? Do I stand a chance? Attorney needed?
