My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Texas
My wife's mother passed away over 20 years ago. She was named Independent Administratrix of the Estate, created an estate account, took care of all the debts, etc and then closed the account and filed income taxes at year end. We recently found an insurance policy, made a claim, and the check was issued as follows:
My wife's name
Administrator of the Estate of Her mother's name. Can she deposit this check into her own account since it is not made payable to the Estate of her mother?
