Does anyone have any experience or comments re: any restrictions that may present with respect to an Association owned entity offering the rental of individual USPS mailboxes, purchased and installed at the Associations expense, in a private community where the units are 100% owned. The equilibrium demand is about 20% of 400 unit facility. After 15 years of not having control over or managing inventory, the business (Association Management) has recently agreed to take over management. A physical inventory exposed that 20% of the installed mailboxes are open/not in use (due to abandonment of various kinds). The installed infrastructure is a pedestal array, and the only authorized delivery is from USPS. As there is a small backlog of requests for mailboxes (which we should be able to handle in the short term), we are anxious to put in place a process that will serve us into to the future. Thx!!
