My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Washington
It's 2016 and last month (February) i bought a 2005 Cbr 600rr. Not even a month later, a cager cuts me off and makes some major damage to the bike.
If you live anywhere in east Washington then you might have already seen the footage but here you go.

Date of accident (3/16/16)
Guy drove off, a day later i cruise around town and find his house and car. I call the cops and the cops take down his information.<br>
It is now 3/25/16 and i'm waiting on the collision report from the officer who is running the case.<br>
Luckily the guy has insurance.
My question is.... Will they total my bike? - All fairings are damaged/cracked the front forks (bent) along with the triple tree is damaged. (when the handle bar is straight the wheel is facing to the right. / right peddle [rear brake] is basically gone ) [the frame is in good standing]
It's already spring and i JUST WANNA RIDE!!!
if insurance does total my bike will they take it? if they do take it will they cover the cost of any aftermarket parts the bike has on it? (Yoshi Exhaust) / how much would it be for a buy back?
as you can see i am not very familiar with the insurance claim procedures but i've been doing a lot of googling.
How long after filing an insurance claim does it take for the insurance to write me a check? (i'd like to ride this summer)
Will i meet up with people who will inspect the damage of the bike?
if they don't total it how is the damage cost estimated?
also how long should a police collision report take? It's been 11 days now...
