My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas.
I am currently in the process of purchasing a house and I have come to find out that the line leading from the main to the property resides on my neighbors property. My realtor is suggesting an easement, which I agree with, however I was wondering what does that entail? Will I need to get the line surveyed or can I draft up a legal document just referencing where the water district believes the line to be plus 10 feet. I am trying to cover my interests and would like to do this as easily as possible.
