My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: I made a down Payment on a 2014 Ford Fusion. However, I have to wait until all the paperwork from the car 2012 i previously purchased and was totaled in accident is completed to proceed. I feel i no longer want to do buisness with this company. It's a 1,500$ down payment. They keep calling me saying people want to buy the car I made a down payment on and cannot sign the papers yet. My lien holder is Ford, and I have been waiting on them to do their part for days and that is where im buying from once again. However for them to call me and tell me people want to buy my car after I made the down payment has me unsettled with them as a delearship. I didnt sign any kind of contract. Just a receipt. What can i do to get my down payment back so I can be done with this delearship?
