New Jersey Statute of Limitations on Commercial Leasing Lawsuit

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: New Jersey

I had a two year commercial lease which I signed a personal guarantee on in NJ. I broke the lease after a year, packed up and moved out. It has been about 10 months since I broke the lease (the 2 year mark is approaching) and I have not been sued yet for the remaining rent. What is that statue of limitations on being sued by the landlord. Can he wait until the two year mark? Can he wait 4 years and sue me? Should he have sued me as soon as I left? When will I know it's really over.
