Greetings all,
I'm an Occupational Safety grad student in NC & one of my courses in Risk Management & Workers' Compensation requires a questionnaire be completed by people working with workers' compensation (i.e. legal or hr or insurance). First, I'll apologize in advance for the length of the questionnaire - but you would be doing this unemployed student a grand favor by helping get her one step closer to her graduation & gainful employment, by completing the questionnaire. I would need responses by Nov-18th - so if you have a few minutes & are looking to help a student...please see below... :-) (All responses will only be shared with the professor.)
Name:
1. Who is your employer?
2. What professional designations and/or certifications do you hold?
3. What is your current position with your employer?
4. How long have you worked in this field?
5. What is your educational background (i.e. degrees)?
6. What inspired you to pursue your current career?
7. Did your education prepare you for the job you are currently performing?
8. What is your professional mission?
9. How long have you been working in this field?
10. How does your job impact the bottom line of the company that employs you?
11. How does your professional services impact the bottom line of your clientele's company?
12. How do your professional services impact the quality of life of injured workers that you work with?
13. What is your view of the workers' compensation system & its benefits? Could it be improved?
14. What is the most important aspect of occupational safety & health that relates to workers' compensation?
15. What do you think a professional safety practitioner needs to know about workers' compensation?
16. Who are the key players in the workers' compensation system that you have directly or indirectly dealt with?
17. Do you think the workers' compensation system could be structured to be more ethical? If so, how?
18. Where do you see the future of workers' compensation?
19. In your professional opinion, how should I, as a safety & health practitioner, prepare myself to be able to effectively & efficiently help administer workers' compensation at any company? (i.e. What are the most important things to learn in graduate school to support this?)
Again, thanks soooo much for your time & insight!!!
