My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California.
My parents never really cared for me. They had me when they were 16 and I have always had to raise myself with the help of my grandma. Now, I am the oldest of 4 kids. My parents always expect me to cook and clean and take care of my siblings. I love my sisters and brother to pieces, but I have things I need to worry about. My family has made it clear to me that I am only wanted to help them out. I have a reliable job and good grades in school. I could move in with my aunt or grandma- but like I said earlier my parents would never agree to me leaving them. I am 16 and am looking into emancipation or signing over my guardianship. Is there any way possible I can do this without my parents consent? I believe it is in my best interest.
