I gave my fiancee an $11,000 engagement ring, after the break up, when moving out she took the ring but left the box. I am suing her for it as I still owe $4,000 on a ring I no longer have. I filed a police report and the detective has not found it registered in her name at any pawn shops and she continually denies having the ring. In court, How do I prove she took the ring or what rebuttal do I have when she simply states she does not have it. Is she liable for it no matter what?
