My question involves criminal law for the state of: new york
i was charged with a DWI may 1st- thru court clerk error, the new york state DMV was never advised that my license should be revoked. upon my sentencing in mid july my public defender made a huge stink that they had failed to inform the DMV, and that this was a problem because since my license was still valid i had no way of qualifying for a conditional license. still nothing. my DMV abstract lists my license as valid today. as i live in NYC i havent needed to drive, but am considering driving up to see my mother in new hampshire. is there anyway an officer would be able to arrest me for driving with suspended license?
