My question involves an accident that occurred in the state of: California
My younger brother's car got hit on Sat (3 days ago) in a mall strip parking lot by another car. Nothing major just a fender bender
My bro panicked an only got the guys number and name.
He didn't ask for driver license, insurance info, there was no pictures taken, and no police report.
After calling, the other party is not answering. We filed a claim with our insurance and they didn't answer our insurance either.
What are our options?
Can we find the person with cell phone only?
Can we still file a police report? and for what purpose.
The mall strip has security cameras how can we request footage?
If my insurance pays do i have to pay the deductible?
Can it still be considered hit and run? Even though the guy got out to make sure my bro was okay and to exchange numbers?
