Termination of Support: Military Emancipation Indiana Law

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: INDIANA

My child was just sworn into the Army, and is considered active duty. However, he doesn't leave for boot camp until August. He lives at home and graduates high school this spring. In Indiana, a child is emancipated if he/she joins the armed forces. My question is: when can I file for him to be emancipated so that I no longer obligated to pay child support? The county said that I have to file the paperwork. I don't know if I can do it now, or wait until August?

Thank you.
