My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: CALIFORNIA
I received a speeding ticket by CHP. I sent an Informal Discovery Request to the CHP and my response was received as a letter in an un-sealed envelope without return receipt. The letter states that my requested documents are "ready for pick up". It was my understanding that these documents would be sent to me. Is it possible that I could get off on a technicality regarding the un-sealed envelope or the delay that is caused by me being made to pick up the documents? I intend to send another letter requesting again that the documents be sent to me, although I do not currently have a template of what such a document would look like.
Thanks so much,
Jacob
