I'm 16 with a job. My parents verbally abuse me. My girlfriend's parents said I would be allowed to live with them. My parents treat me terribly and make me so depressed. They wont get me the help I need. No doctors, no dentist, no counseling, nothing. I am a person and I deserve to be treated like one, right? My parents are divorced and my dad lives in Virginia. Can he sign the emancipation papers for me because my mom wont. If he cant, any tips on how to ask my mom because I'm deeply afraid. Also, can you explain the laws? (like dumb them down a little because I don't understand some of them) thank you for your help!!!
