Chapter 13: How Do You Clear a Lien After Completion of Chapter 13

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Georgia

Filed 13 in 2009. Completed plan in 2014. Now, I have learned one of the old debts placed a lien on me. The debt was included and properly notified in the 13 schedule F but failed to file a claim. As such, they never received payment under the plan. My former attorney says I do not owe this amount but has offered no help in resolving the matter. The attorney who filed the lien has retired. The firm he sold his business to doesn't have my file as the retired attorney only provided files back to a date after mine. The original debt company says I have to work with the attorney, the retired attorney I can't find. It seems like I shouldn't owe this but it's starting to seem like the only way to remove it from my record, necessary now to get a mortgage, is to pay it. Are there any other options? And if I do pay it, who would even get the money since the retired attorney can't be found? Help would be greatly appreciated.
