My question involves marriage law for the State of: California
I have to pay my Exwife 2400 a month for child support and alimony. I have paid for 3 years now and now she is living with another man who makes much more money than me. The gentlemen is paying for my daughter to go to private school now. She told me that they are planning on going on trips to Europe this year and that he is very wealthy. Obviously just to try to make me mad since she is living the good life and I am living Paycheck to Paycheck.
When we got divorced I gave my Ex everything. (ie. House, Car, Kids, Education Benefits) and was still ordered to pay child support and alimony. I am a US Marine and two years ago after being stationed in Hawaii my ex decided since the Military pays me more for living in Hawaii (Because the cost of living is atrocious) that she deserves more money. She took me to court to try to get her child support raised by over 1000 dollars. Luckily I wasn't forced to pay any more.
Sorry I went off on a tangent there. But the question that I have is that. Since my ex wife is now living with another man that makes much more than me and she sold the house that I gave her in the divorce which made her a profit of $180,000 is it possible for me to petition the court so that I can get either my Child Support and Alimony either lowered or completely removed since she now obviously does not need?
