My son was issued a speeding ticket for traveling 37 mph in a 25 mph school zone; however, no school was in session during this time. School was dismissed early at 1:15 pm due to parent-teacher conferences. The officer pulled him over at 3:20. There is no posted speed zone. There is a flashing speed monitor that stops flashing at 30 mph so I am assuming that this may be the speed limit. Should we pay the fine or contest it in court?
