Sales Agreements: Was Sold a New Car with Paint Damage

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NY

Less then 3 weeks ago I purchased a brand new car from a Ford dealership. A few days after purchasing the car I realized there were spots on my hood. I instantly thought they were probably just from the plastic the car was wrapped in but after washing the car they didn't go away. I then hand washed the car and waxed it and with closer inspection realized this paint damage was all over the hood, roof and trunk of the car. I send pictures to my salesman and he responded saying they had that issue with a few cars and they would repaint the car for me. A few days later he responds to me with a time for it to get fixed and says he spoke with the GM and the GM said the car was sold at a discounted price because of the paint damage, and that I should have known that and there is documents in my paperwork that state that.If I wanted the paint fixed I would have to pay for it. After looking through all my paperwork not one time does it mention any damage/ discount due to damage anywhere. Even the salesman said to me that he wasn't informed about the damage when he sold me the car. I was sold a brand new car by a dealer who knew it had paint damage and I wasn't informed. If I knew about the damage I wouldn't of bought the car! So this dealer thought they could get away with selling a damaged car to me and hopefully I wouldn't notice? What are my next steps in dealing with this issue. Thanks!
