My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Ohio
My roommate keeps trying to kick me out. This is not the first time he has tried to do so. Back in June we both signed the land contract to buy the house and everything has been going downhill since then. It all started with the fact that the landlord put his name first on the contract when it was supposed to be mine, since I was the one putting down the down payment for the place, and wouldn't re-do it. Now he thinks he can kick me out whenever and keeps telling me he is going to take my name off the land contract.
it will be easier to make a list of everything that is going wrong than to explain it in a paragraph. So here is the list of all the things he has been doing.
1) he won't give me any of the landlords information
2) he won't let me pay my half of the rent with a money order (he doesn't want to send 2 in)
3) he wont let me sign said money order or put my name on it
4) he won't let me have people over to the house, even when they are not home
5) he invades my privacy and won't let me put a lock on my room or the attic (attic was agreed to be my space when we moved in)
This is just some of the more major things that have been going on. If any of you are able to help it would be much appreciated
I pay my rent and bills every month on time. I do not make a mess and I take care of his dog and clean up after her when he is away for work, which that is most of the time.
