Retail Fraud / Shoplifting: Shoplifted from Kroger

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio.
I was recently caught shoplifting at my local Kroger (first and last time, mainly food, milk and diapers for my children).

The police were called, I'm assuming because I didn't have my ID on me or because it's their standard protocol. The LP and police officer both mentioned that because I was honest and compliant, I would probably "get off easy" and mentioned a diversion program and possible probation (I have a court date in a couple of weeks). I've never been in any kind of trouble and am a respected member of my community. So some questions:

1) What exactly would be entailed in the diversion program and for how long will I need to participate?
2) How long is the "ban" from Kroger? I signed a paper with the LP, but no one explained it to me. Is it for THAT store or all stores?! How is that enforced?
3) Is there anyway to get the ban eventually lifted?
4) If I complete the diversion program and/or probation, will the charges be expunged from my permanent record? Could a future employer see this?
5) What type of expenses should I be expecting?
