my immigration case is in regards to my father.
he arrived in 1989 and was caught crossing i believe once and was processed but was successful in a reentry (illegally) and has lived here since.
he has lived in the US for 27 years
married to a US resident and has 3 US citizen children
he had a cancellation of deportation hearing due to a DUI charge 6 years ago and ultimately decided to do a voluntary leave and is set to leave this November.
what my question is, is he eligible to apply for a tourist visa in the future or apply for legal residency when sponsored by my mother and siblings? if so how long does he have to stay outside of the counrty before submitting any type of application. would he be eligible to apply for a waiver of inadmissibility?
any type of information is greatly appreciated, thank you in advanced.
