My question involves independent contractors in the state of: Canada
I am working as an "independent contractor" - although I am not entitled to pay negotiations, I am required to work specific hours and meet specific quotas. I got an email today from my "employer" who stated we had to do a 45-minutes to an hour-long training requirement that is MANDATORY (or we get fired) but that it is not paid. Is this allowed? Seems kind of dishonest to me.
Thanks in advance!
