My question involves defamation in the state of: Georgia and Michigan. We reside in Michigan but the traffic violation took place in Georgia a couple years ago. I found out just recently because I got a letter from Michigan stating I need to watch the points on my driving record and to my surprise the georgia ticket showed up on my record. I called GA to get a copy of the ticket (which was paid-I am guessing by her) I need to find out how to dispute and get the points off of my record. I consulted an Attorney he said because it is over state line there wasn't much he could do. Any advice would be great right now. I have proof she was in GA, I have proof I was in MI on the date of occurrence. State of MI is telling me I need to go to GA to dispute it.
