My question involves small claims court in Missouri: I want to know if I can sue my ex for not allowing me to get my personal property from our apartment. Both of us were on the lease and I left without signing my name off the lease. I left several pieces of art work music records. She was supposed to take my stuff to her mother's and I would pick it up there however she never did and now she tells me she threw away most of my art work from bands I love and my records as well as my father's writing journals i found after he suicide. Can I sue her for damages since she agreed to keep those items safe until I could pick them up and telling me she would drop them off so I could pick them up then not doing that's and destroying everything by it away.
