My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: California
I live in an apartment complex in San Jose, CA. Today I hit a small trailer placed next to a red curb while getting out of my congested garage. While opening the garage and entering it I did not notice this small gray trailer parked alongside the red curb on my drive out path. Then I entered the car drove out of the garage and started moving ahead and hit this thing. At this point I can't even see it from my drive seat. The car scraped the corner of the trailer (no damage to the trailer) and the front bumper has a pretty huge scratch.
The object belongs to a construction team working in my apartment complex, when I contacted the Apt complex manager he said there's nothing they can do to reimburse money for the damages. Can you please suggest how I can proceed? I will have to replace the bumper and might cost $800.
Thank you.
