My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I was on my bicycle when a sheriff pulled me over for failing to stop at a stop sign. He asked for my license, which I did not have.
He took down my name and address, but no driver's license number (I didn't know the number by heart).
I checked online and my last name is misspelled "Sales" instead of "Sacks".
Since the court doesn't have my driver's license number or my correct name, am I obligated to pay/fight this ticket? Aside from the address, there is nothing tying me to the ticket.
