My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Washington
My ex wife has developed a medical condition, one that she has only partially shared with me. During casual conversations discussing her jobs and employment, she has told me that she has been diagnosed with some type of neurological condition, making her unable to have some careers such as driving for a living; can't be shuttle driver, taxi, or any kind of warehouse delivery and other career paths.
Recently she injured herself at her current work using some heavy machinery. Typically, other than the concern for her own safety, this wouldn't make me wonder anything. But when I start to combine things it makes me wonder if her injury may have been caused by whatever neurological disorder she has that prevents her from other things. So to keep going with this, is it safe that she be the primary custody of our children, knowing that she may not be the most safe transportation for our 2 children or that her condition may disable her during the day while caring for them.
I don't know any specifics, whether she falls asleep or disorients herself, or what the issue is with her medical, but is it something that I could look into for child custody?
Her and I live in the same school district, it would not be a terribly new surrounding for the kids as I have them every other weekend during the school year and every other week in the summer. With me they have joined youth groups in our more immediate area, they actively participate in youth sports, we are an active family in our surrounding community.
Both children are elementary age.
I've read the boards before, I know many times these types of questions end up having a ton of non professional opinions thrown at them, I would really like to keep this professional.
