My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ontario
A few days back, I was at my friends house. We used to travel in my car but on that day evening, the police stopped our car and asked me to do a breath test. I never drive after drinking alcohol and thus I did not hesitate to take it and result was obviously negative. I thought it ended there, but yesterday I got a call saying that I have a court date regarding a DUI case. I dont know how this happened. I already contacted defence lawyers called Kostman & Pyzer Barristers in Toronto and arranged a consultation. But does anyone have any guess about what might have happened there and how should I proceed? Any help will be appreciated.
