I am enquiring for a friend who is from Russia. She was given a 3 month student visa and is enrolled in a full time school here in NY to learn English. Her visa stamp has the expiry date for the end October which was when her original course was to end. However now she would like continue her full time course for another 9 months.
1) Can her I-20 be extended to April ( by the school) even though the visa stamp says expiry in October?
2) If yes, what possible consequences/ limitations she will have?
