Can an employer limit the maximum amount that a tip can be for servers? I have a number of friends who work for a franchise running a chain restaurant and the franchise is telling them they won't get tips over $50 because of fraud issues.
I'd post an attachment if I could that includes an image of the notice posted on the employee board at this restaurant.
