Can my son go in front of a judge and tell him/her that he doesn't want to see his grandparents?
My husband died a few weeks ago. He was in the middle of being convicted of molesting my child. He was suppose to plea prison time when he died. He had lost custody of my child during the divorce. Now his parents want to see my son. My son doesn't want anything to do with them. When he happens to see them in town he will hide in the floorboard. He has PTSD resulting from the sexual abuse from his dad and every time he sees his grandparents, it sets him back. His grandparents have threatened to get grandparents rights. This is upsetting my son where he's having nightmares. Is there anyway we can go to a judge and stop his grandparents from getting grandparents rights by my son telling the judge that he doesn't want to see them and the reasons why? Is there any way we can take their grandparental rights away?
