My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of Hawaii: so I recently was pulled over while going to get my brakes replaced for what the officer claims was cell phone usage. I literally didn’t have my cell phone in my hand. I had my wallet and a wad of cash for the brake change in my right hand and my left hand on the steering wheel while stopped at a red light and I put it down as the light turned green. He claims he saw me looking down and typing. I am going to contest this with a letter because I am not paying $300 for something that I did not do, especially when I’m just starting to financially get on my feet (due to job loss) Are there any tips or need-to-knows that y’all can give me?
