I was recently terminated from an employer. During my termination meeting I was told I needed to provide proof of an item that I was trying to sell. The item was mine and was purchased a year prior to termination. The employer is stating that the item might be there’s and are with holding my pay check until I provide proof. I can’t provide proof due to buying from an independent seller. Can they with hold my check? What can I do?
