Social Security Issues: 66 in 2018 - Still Working and Wish to File for Ss Benefits

Hi, I have called SS a couple of times and got different answers. I am a little confused and hope someone can help.

1. I turn 66 in August of 2018
2. I am still working
3. I have not started collecting Social Security Benefits at this time but would like to file.
4. If I filed today 1/20/2018, I may start getting my check in 90 days. Not sure if this is correct.
5. Regardless of the date I get my first check, does my work income towards the $45,360 begin from Jan 1, 2018 or does the income towards the $45,360 begin at the time I get my first Social security check?

6. Also, the threshold only applies to my work income, and not my social security income as well, is this correct?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards
BD
