My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NH
I purchased a new Toyota truck for the sole reason of it being a manual transmission and having a good sound system(jbl). the jbl was part of a 2000.00 package of which the only thing I wanted was sound, but took the package to get it. In addition, the vehicle was already being built with a crap tonneau cover for 650.00,. and a backup sonar system for an additional 800.00. All I wanted was the manual and the JBL, however, this configuration was the only way to get it, so I paid the additional 3370 for a sound system. I have a copy of the build sheet prior to production, a copy of the invoice, and the window sticker that was on the truck when it arrived, and one of the brochures all of which state that it came with the JBL. It doesn't have JBL. According to Toyota, they never had any intention of building this truck with a manual tranny with the JBL system and it was over looked. I was the only person that had purchased a 2018 Tacoma in the country and 2 days after buying it and realizing it didn't have JBL made them (Toyota) aware, in which case they corrected every single one on the ground, in transit and new units being built. Its taken a month to get a response from Toyota motor corp here in the states and was told they have made their decision and its final(without any input from me). 700.00 back. I asked to speak to the person or persons that made this decision and was told its final, there is nobody for me to talk to as they are internal employees and not outward facing. I was given the option to take it or leave it. I've already registered the truck as I was told that Toyota would make it right, I purchased and installed additional options that I actually wanted. Now I have to options, concede and take the 700.00 which in my eyes is unacceptable, or take legal actions costing me and everyone else more money. thoughts/suggestions?
