My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Kansas
Well I have a pfa in order and a parenting court order in court our lawyers agreed that the defendant and I should contact each other through talking parents if any issues arise pertaining to parenting time. Well in this case there was an agreement that I and the defendant made through talking parents as an agreed drop off time and pick up time. My lawyer stated that parenting time drop off and pick up can be facilitated with mother or father or any other person as long as parting time is exercised if any changes it is to be discussed through talking parents being it is a court based form of communication.however the officers explained talking parents is not on court document in black and white and refused to view the agree conversation.So I had my mother their on time to pick up my son at 8pm as agreed by both myself and defendant mother of the defendant slammed the door in my moms face and stated she was not going to release my son to her as again I let the defendant know my mom will be there at 8pm to pick up my son he viewed my message which was written at 6:25pm and what was viewed by him at 6:40 being there was no response I automatically assumed he agreed. Being if he did not then it should have been communicated when viewed but instead he responds at 8pm when my mom was there. The problem I have is in the order it states he is not to be present during drop off or pick up and he was there at the residence and I was told that I was in violation. I need to know what I can do? He held our son captive for a whole hour what can I do?
