My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: New York
Does a parent have to go through an entire eviction process in order to get a 30 year old to move out? The son refuses to leave, has a full time job and is just doing it to be spiteful for no reason. He used to pay $100 a week and that was the extent. We will be putting the home up for sale and are in the process of fixing everything up for the sale however the son is a pig and refuses to clean up after himself, continues to bring broken down car parts and leave in the yard, etc.
This is just mind blowing to me and I don't know what to do. Any advise would be helpful.
