My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio.
My ex has no custody of our children and lost all visitation due to physical abuse, giving our son "graphically sexual" material, the condition of his home, and verbal abuse. He was told that if he wanted to attempt to get any visitation back he would be required to get counseling alone, then counseling with the children, and then he could request another hearing. He's trying to take our children to a Catholic counseling service, which is the ONLY place I told him I would never agree to. I do not want my children receiving services from a religious organization. Their website specifically mentions their spiritual approach to healing, and this is in direct contrast to our religious beliefs. My kids are over 15 and able to have their own religious views. I have documentation from 15 months ago where I told him that I would not allow my children to get services from this organization, so this is the place he is insisting they go. He is not Catholic, so this isn't a matter of religion for him. Am I within my rights to refuse this as their sole legal guardian? I literally said that this is the only place I did not want them to go.
