My question involves a child custody case from the State of: CA
My wife has been trying to work out a custody agreement between her and the child's birth father. He recently moved out of state and remarried. The child has been ill for about 7 weeks, one thing or another. Among other medical issues, a specialist he was seen by is requesting to perform a procedure on his lungs within the next 2 weeks. However, the child is scheduled to fly to Texas 12/16 for winter break(22 days). My wife had her lawyer contact his and request that the visit be delayed or cancelled. His lawyer sent back threats that caused my wife's lawyer to quit. What can we do to make sure the child gets the medical required to keep him healthy? We are looking at trying to file an ex parte order. What else can we do? He has lied to the court at every turn and now they are threatening us and the laywer.
