Speeding Tickets: Chp Officer Lies.worth Fighting

I was pulled over on a freeway for exceeding 65mph... V.C. 22349(A) at 6am. I was very polite and non-threatening to the officer and he was pleasant also. When he asked for proof of insurance I asked if he would mind if I opened the glove box, he asked if I had any weapons, I said no and proceeded to give him my license and registration. He thanked me and went back to his patrol car. When he came back he said something along the lines of "I got you going at 86 but wrote the ticket for 74." He then said something about having kids (I think he had seen the car-seat in the back) and how this ticket would be cheaper and he knows how expensive kids are. He asked me if I was coming home from work and asked where I worked also. I thanked him and signed the citation and we parted ways. A few days later I looked at the citation and in the speed section it indicates 95+ and in the description is says "...speeding at 86".
I was granted an extension on my arraignment until after the holidays. I don't believe I said anything at all that would incriminate me. The ticket doesn't identify radar/lidar (although there is an illegible number) but the MVARS box is checked. I've just completed an informal discovery request and will send it off shortly. I'm wondering how the judge is going to view the situation. Do you suppose he'll just consider the officer a jerk for lying to my face and convict me based on the officers testimony (if I can't provide any proof to ascertain my innocence)? Really, I'm floored the officer would lie to me AFTER he just wrote the ticket! It pisses me off and I wonder how the judge will view it...although this may be too hard to figure out at this point.
